The lure of the second hand

These photos were taken in a wonderful antiques and bric-a-brac shop on the way to Lithgow last weekend. I love this stuff but whenever I try to make it fit into my decidedly casual interior they just don't work so I admire them then go my way. I spent my formative adult years with hippie decor I could throw into a van and I guess that's sort of where I stayed :))

Have a good weekend everybody.

  2. I love antique shops too, but usually only buy some tiny little thing. They make great photo opportunities, with all their shapes and lines, and the horse is so lovely.

  3. That first show reminded me of a very elegant lady's brooch.

  4. Oh we are so on the same page here Val! I could fossick around in shops like this for ages but very rarely go home with anything now that I've gone all minimalistic.. love looking, but save a fortune not buying, although there is some very tempting things above ☺☺

  5. I could not find room for all the things I would find there.
